- Character — integrity, responsibility, initiative, and servant-hearted leadership
- Critical thinking — evaluating ideas, culture, and current events through a Christian worldview
- Practical skills — entrepreneurship, finances, communication, and decision-making
- Strong faith foundations — understanding God’s truth in a confused worldWhether it’s our entrepreneurship lessons, worldview/current affairs packs, or creation and origins resources, our mission is the same:
- To support Christian parents in raising young people who honour Christ, think biblically, and live with purpose.

Meet the founder

Heritage Lessons was created by David Blake who for many years has worked with young people in teaching, biblical discipleship, and equipping for the next generation. With years of experience helping families navigate questions of faith and culture, the heart behind this work is simple: to provide parents with resources that make discipleship practical and accessible.
David started his own company from scratch nearly 30 years ago and has first-hand experience of starting and running a small business which he now wants to pass on to the younger generation who want to honor God in their lives.
A love for Scripture, worldview studies, reading, learning, and thoughtful preparation drives every resource we create. Witnessing the challenges facing Christian families—particularly during the teenage years when young people begin wrestling with big questions—sparked the desire to develop materials that parents could trust and teens could actually engage with.
Rather than finding existing resources that met these needs, the decision was made to create them. The result is Heritage Lessons: a collection of tools designed by someone who understands the homeschool journey and wants to walk alongside you. Please know this: you don't have to do this alone. We're here to support, encourage, and equip you as you raise the next generation for Christ.
